Children (and adults!) light up meeting our playful ponies, friendly cows, curious pigs, and chatty chickens, not to mention our cuddly farm dog and calm house cat. Our animals love gentle strokes, nose boops and making new friends. They're part of the family!

Boredom is unknown here! For our youngest visitors, a tractor ride around the farm is a real highlight, offering a unique first-hand experience of farming and connection to the land.
Hello and welcome! We are Wiebke Philipp-Mau and Karl-Peter Mau, together with our children Gustav, Elise, and Philipp - and we are delighted to be your hosts at our family-run Ferienbauernhof Mau. Wiebke is a certified farm educator with the Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Agriculture and the heart behind the farm experience for children. Karl-Peter - or "Kalli" - is the farmer of the estate. We believe that children (and adults!) connect best with nature through hands-on experiences. That's why we combine warmth, sustainability, and real-life farm insights into something interactive and truly unforgettable.

Energy from Nature
Our farm runs 100% on renewable energy: heat from our biogas plant, electricity from our own solar panels, and power from our very own wind turbine. We even produce more energy than we consume - the surplus is fed back into the public grid.
Caring for the Land
Our work on the farm is more than daily routine - it's our way of caring for the island’s nature. We look after the landscape and make sure to use resources mindfully. This way, Fehmarn remains a place of real, living nature - for us, our guests, and the generations to come.
